Nano Ring & Micro Ring

Micro ring hair extensions, also known as micro bead or micro loop extensions, are a type of semi-permanent hair extension method that uses small metal rings or beads to attach the extensions to your natural hair. This method does not require heat, glue, or tape, making it a popular choice for those looking for a less damaging option.

How Nano & Micro Rings Are Applied

First, we will wash and dry your natural hair thoroughly to remove any oils or products and ensure that the hair is detangled and smooth. Then, we will divide the hair into small, manageable sections, usually starting from the nape of the neck and working upwards. One of our expert stylists will take a nano ring or micro ring and thread it onto a small loop tool (often a wire loop or a plastic loop). We will then take a small strand of your natural hair and use the loop tool to pull the natural hair strand through the nano ring or micro ring. For nano rings, we will insert the pre-tipped nano extension (which has a tiny keratin tip) into the nano ring along with the natural hair strand and use pliers to clamp the nano ring closed, securing the extension to the natural hair. Once all extensions are applied, we blend the extensions with the natural hair by trimming and styling the hair as necessary to ensure a seamless look. Both methods use a loop tool and pliers, but the tips of the extensions are slightly different, with nano extensions having smaller, keratin-tipped ends.

How Nano & Micro Rings Are Removed

We will ensure that your hair is clean and dry. Then, we will section the hair into manageable parts, starting from the top and working the way down to the nape of the neck. Using small pliers, one of our skilled stylists will gently squeeze the nano ring in the opposite direction of how it was clamped. This will open the ring and release the natural hair and the extension tip. Once the ring is open, we carefully slide the extension and the nano ring off the strand of natural hair. If the ring doesn't slide off easily, we will expertly and gently wiggle it free without pulling on the natural hair. This process will be continued for each nano ring until all the extensions are removed. After all the extensions are removed, we will gently comb through the natural hair to detangle and remove any residual product. We can then give the hair a nourishing treatment or deep conditioning to restore moisture and strength.

  • Allows for various styling options, including updos, braids, and waves,
  • With proper care and regular adjustments, these extensions can last for several months,
