Smallest fitting
Nano rings use a very small fitting, so they are often chosen when the natural hair is fine, delicate or likely to show larger attachments. They can add discreet length, side filler or volume when the placement is right.
Secure individual strands
Micro rings use a slightly larger bead to secure each extension strand without heat, glue or tape. They can suit clients who want flexible movement, reusable hair and a strong hold, depending on natural hair density.

The natural hair is first washed and dried, then divided into sections starting from the nape of the neck and working upwards. The stylist will then thread the nano or micro ring onto a loop tool and pull a small section of the client's natural hair through the ring.
For nano rings, the pre-tipped hair extension, which has a tiny keratin tip, is inserted into the ring alongside the natural hair strand. The ring is then clamped shut using a pair of specialised pliers.
The stylist will then blend the extensions with the natural hair by trimming and styling. Both methods use the loop tool and pliers, with nano extensions having smaller keratin-tipped ends than micro rings. Our stylists are trained to the highest standards at our hair extensions training academy, ensuring expert fitting for every method.
The hair is cleaned and dried, then sectioned from the top down. The stylist will squeeze the ring in the opposite direction to open it, releasing the natural hair and the extension tip.
The extension and ring are then slid off the hair strand. If any resistance is felt, the stylist will gently wiggle the ring until it comes free. This process is repeated for each ring.
Once all rings have been removed, the stylist will comb through the natural hair. A nourishing treatment or deep conditioning may also be applied.
